Why we study

More than a moment.
A considered practice.

Connection Theory brings longstanding questions into modern life. The Academy’s intention is to give practitioners time to study, practise, receive feedback and consider how their work affects the people who come to them.

Being engaging online and holding a useful private conversation are different skills. Liam wants to help developing readers bring more care and clarity to their practice, including those who currently present on social platforms.

This is a developing programme, shaped around practical learning and the philosophy created and written by Michael James Dean. The purpose is to support thoughtful practice, not to sell certainty or promise an ability, income or client base.

Find your starting point

Who the Academy is for.

You do not need to arrive with the same experience as everyone else. Your starting point helps us understand whether the proposed approach could suit you.

Proposed areas of study

Learn the process.
Keep your judgement.

These strands describe the intended direction. The final syllabus, teaching hours and delivery arrangements will be published before enrolment opens.

Attention & philosophy

Explore the questions behind Connection Theory: what you notice, what you infer and how you decide what it means. Michael James Dean’s writing gives the work a shared foundation.

A structured reading

Consider the shape of a session, from a clear opening to listening, checking understanding and a thoughtful close. Structure gives the client room to respond without forcing every detail to fit.

Clear communication

Practise explaining what you receive, what you interpret and what remains uncertain. Develop language that is understandable, respectful and open to questioning.

Consent & client care

Work with boundaries, permission, privacy and client choice. Explore how to avoid pressure, dependency and promises that a reading cannot responsibly make.

Reflection & follow-through

Consider how agreed notes and reflection can make an experience easier to revisit. Recording always requires permission, a clear purpose and suitable privacy arrangements.

Professional practice

Develop a considered public presence and realistic service descriptions. Explore expectations, administration, social communication and the responsibilities of offering a service.

Learning with Liam

Listen closely.
Practise thoughtfully.

Liam’s intended role includes demonstration, discussion, observation and feedback. The aim is to help learners consider both the information they communicate and the way a client experiences the session.

The proposed teaching approach combines the study of Connection Theory with practical exploration. Exact contact hours, group size and what is personally delivered by Liam will be stated when the programme is ready.

Michael James Dean’s six-volume collection provides the written philosophical foundation. Liam brings his personal reading practice to the learning conversation.

Before you register

Your questions,
answered clearly.

Is the Academy open for enrolment?

Not yet. This page explains the developing direction and collects interest. No fee is taken and no place is reserved by submitting the form.

Will learning be in person or online?

The delivery model is being shaped. Tell us your preference in the form; the actual format, location and timetable will be published before enrolment.

Is this an accredited qualification?

No accreditation is currently being offered. Any future completion document will explain what was studied and who issued it. Attendance is not proof of psychic ability or professional accreditation.

Will I join the Collective after studying?

Collective participation is a separate selection and agreement process. Training will not automatically grant membership, work, promotion or access to Liam’s clients.

Do I have to join the Society?

No. The Society is the guest community for salons and continuing conversation. It is separate from practitioner learning and the proposed professional Collective.

What happens after I express interest?

Your interest is saved for the team to review. We may contact you about your starting point and, when available, share programme information. You remain free to decide whether it suits you.
